I couldn't count how many times I've said or heard someone else say a book should be written about the behind the scenes goings on of a Soap Opera. Imagine for a minute all the different personalities of the actors and actresses, the producers, directors, hair and makeup people, the stage crew, etc. All working in close proximity day after day doing emotionally charged drama! The Divas, the ingenues, the half naked bodies, the egos, the blind ambition, the love affairs, the endless feuding, and yes, even fist fights. And all this is behind the camera! Much more interesting than what goes on in front of it! What better environment to place a murder mystery? Considering I know the world of daytime drama so well and I have a fascination for forensics, it truly seemed like a natural fit. And I have to say the material to draw from is endless! I hope so, anyway! Because Bob (my writing partner) and I are in the middle of our third book, "Diva, Las Vegas!".
